MAESTRO SEBASTIAN LANG-LESSING
Maestro Lang-Lessing began his career at the Hamburg State Opera after receiving the prestigious Ferenc Fricsay Prize at the age of just twenty-four — an early testament to his exceptional talent.
Among the highlights of his distinguished career are his appointments as Chief Conductor of the Orchestre symphonique et lyrique de Nancy and Artistic Director of the Nancy Opera, which was elevated to Opéra National de Lorraine under his leadership. As Music Director of the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra (2010–2020), he profoundly shaped the ensemble's artistic profile and was subsequently honoured as Music Director Emeritus.
Today, he serves as General Music Director at Theater Hagen and remains deeply committed to nurturing young musical talent worldwide through master classes, educational initiatives, and dynamic outreach programmes that bring classical music to new generations.
